Digging deep into The Field (S20E2)

Hey lovely Reader This week I opened The Field. It's been sitting quietly in my heart for a very long time - five or six years, if I'm honest. And what I've learned through nurturing this idea is that sometimes the most important work happens when we stop pushing and allow something to ferment in its own time. The Field is a held space for people navigating change - whatever that change may be, wherever you are in the process. It's not a course teaching a methodology. It's not a programme...

The Field - gathering next week

Hey lovely Reader You might have seen me mention The Field. It's something I've been gently nurturing... and now feels ready to share. If you're navigating change right now, whatever it might be - big or small, in your inner life or your outer world - this may be something for you. It's an online space, and will be opening in May. To hear more, I'd love to invite you to join me on Thursday 23 April 7pm (UK). You'll hear what it is, how it works - and share in a beautiful practice to explore...

You Have Always Been Enough - A Conversation with Soulla Demetriou (S20E1)

Hey lovely Reader Today's podcast - the first in our new season - felt such a joy to record: a conversation with someone who profoundly helped to shape my journey. Soulla Demetriou was the first person I consciously recognised as a 'teacher'. She showed me deep compassion when I was starting out on my healing journey - and I first learned about Internal Family Systems from her, which helped me draw together what had been resonating in my own coaching work. Our paths have been beautifully...

Revisit the Gratitude Quest anytime

Hey lovely Reader A few weeks ago, we completed our beautiful Quest for Gratitude together. Nearly 300 of us, exploring 21 prompts over 21 days. It was deeply moving to witness - and many of you asked if it would be available to share with friends or revisit yourselves. I've now added this Quest to our Circle as a self-paced resource that anyone can access freely, anytime. Take a look You'll find: All 21 prompts (as a downloadable PDF) The opening event recording The Field Note on gratitude...

Where are you in change?

Hey lovely Reader There's something beguiling for me about the idea that the only constant in life is change. That despite our best (very human) attempts to control and manage what happens - perhaps out of a desire for safety or certainty - things continue to change within and around us. This can feel alarming. We all know change can feel so hard, maybe even impossible, to navigate at times. And... as we begin to gather different tools and knowledge and experience, things can begin to ease....

What restores you?

Ten years ago I nearly died... But that's not the story I want to focus on here. I want to reflect on what happened afterward... and how it was the catalyst for a cascade of change I could never have predicted. Including heading out on a 'yoga retreat' that helped me begin to shape life as I truly wished to live it. I've used inverted commas because anyone who's been on a Soulshine Retreat with Soulla knows that yoga is just one teeny tiny part of the experience available to you. At the time...

Taking a breath. And diving in.

Hey lovely Reader I'm running a course at the moment - Awaken Your Hopes & Dreams - and, as ever, have been inspired by the wonderful group and become curious at how my own reflections have deepened. The upshot of all this is that I am stepping to the edge. Taking a breath. And diving in. For those of you who know the My darling girl poems, this was a sentiment that came up in the very first one I wrote all those years ago... and it feels right that it's echoed here. For a long time I have...

The Parts That Are Asking to Be Seen (S19E10)

Hey lovely Reader A complete technical breakdown... I'd recorded a really lovely episode for this week - very reflective, lots of interconnecting woven thoughts. And when I went back to listen, it sounded like it was voiced by AI. Completely bizarre. I couldn't fix it. So, I began again. But, oh, it was so hard to regather all the threads of thought. Impossible in fact. So, I truly began again. And pulled an old journal from the bookshelf beside me to see what wisdom she had to offer. I...

The Power of Going with the Slow (S19E9)

Hey lovely Reader I recorded this on a sunny Saturday morning, after a very slow start. There was a part of me thinking I was running late... but what is late? What's early? When there's no fixed time anyway. It sparked thoughts about the power of going with the slow — understanding that we can move at our own pace, even when the world around us is rushing. So often we feel pressure to move faster through change. Through grief. Through transitions. Through the messy, uncomfortable staging...

Holding the Bitter and the Sweet (S19E8)

Hey lovely Reader How do we hold the bitter and the sweet? How do we hold the joy and the pain? How do we learn that there is space for both within us? I've been reflecting on this all week - it came up in a conversation I had recently, and it's been arising in the Gratitude Quest. The juxtaposition of these two things, and our capacity to hold them both. The person I was speaking with talked about cacao as a beautiful representation of this. If you've ever drunk cacao without the sweetness...
