The response to last week's podcast episode has moved me deeply.
So many of you shared your fairy tales - by email, by voice note (how perfect!), in comments on YouTube - and I've spent the week sitting with what you sent me. Your stories are still arriving and each reflection is so lovely to receive.
So, it felt right to give this episode over to that: to sharing some of your stories, and seeing how other's reflections might support our own.
As today's episode unfolded, there were three threads that appeared:
I share the fuller story of my own fairy tale, Little Red Riding Hood - including more about the sculpture I found in a gallery years ago that started work I didn't know I needed. And how the part of me I used to call anger has slowly transformed from Black Dog into Grey She-Wolf, who watches over me now.
I reflect on some of the fairy tales you shared with me - Rapunzel, The Happy Prince, Parsifal, the Magic Porridge Pot, Snow White and more - exploring what might be sitting subtly (or not so subtly) beneath each one.
And I share a little about the Weekend of No Requirements, the retreat I'm running with the lovely Adam Lind this October.
There's a question I ask in this episode too. Something to invite your instinctive response. Perhaps opening a(nother) pathway into your own Parts Work?
