Hey lovely Reader
Today's podcast - the first in our new season - felt such a joy to record: a conversation with someone who profoundly helped to shape my journey.
Soulla Demetriou was the first person I consciously recognised as a 'teacher'. She showed me deep compassion when I was starting out on my healing journey - and I first learned about Internal Family Systems from her, which helped me draw together what had been resonating in my own coaching work. Our paths have been beautifully interwoven ever since.
Her book You Have Always Been Enough has just been released, and we sat down to talk about the inner work we both love - how we came to it, what it's taught us, and why it matters.
It's a long conversation. We follow tangents. We share personal stories of our own journeys.
We talk about how our protective parts are expressions of love. How self-trust might be the greatest gift we can cultivate. How writing and coaching and holding space can all feel like the same practice - allowing what needs to emerge to come forward.
At one point Soulla says: 'Imagine you work really hard every day and you feel alone in that. Then someone turns up and goes: I've got you. You're not alone.' This feels to me like such a wonderful illustration of the power of Parts Work.
This conversation felt sacred to record. I hope it offers you something that feels nourishing.

May you be safe, happy and well. May you live with ease. May you meet your whole Self with love.
With love
