A Single Breath: Reflections After the Pause
Hey lovely Reader
As we step into September, I wanted to connect with a gentle check-in, and to ask how you're doing? With the hope that August has been kind to you and those you love.
This week’s bonus episode of the podcast is a reflection on what it’s been like to step away for my August break.
I speak about how it felt to quiet some of my digital habits (not always successfully), what it really means (for me) to rest, and what I found in the space that was left when I put work aside.
At some point I'd also love to share a little more with you, about how it was to take The Love Shrine to Shambala. This was our third year holding this beautiful space and we were profoundly honoured to be included in a very special ceremony at the beginning of the festival. You can see some pictures here - if you were there, please do press reply and let me know.
Lastly I've shared a new poem that arrived when I was driving and had to be written in a lay-by (some poems are very insistent):
...I reminded myself that I was here
And that the line marked by the fine threads
Was so slight...
A single breath might make it disappear...
If you’ve been wondering how to return after a pause, you might enjoy this week’s bonus episode.
May we all be safe, may we all be happy, may we all be well, may we all be rested, may we all live with ease.
With love
PS This Friday at midday, I’m hosting a free 30-minute live session of A piece of quiet. We’ll rest together, write together, and gently step into the new season. You’re so welcome to join. Book your space here.
