Hey lovely Reader
So, this episode has appeared earlier than expected - because sometimes, something asks to be shared.
We’re talking about power and fear.
Lately, I’ve been noticing a theme running through my own journaling and client conversations: this question of what happens when we hand over our power. And the other morning, it struck me - maybe what we’re really doing in those moments is handing our power over to fear.
So I took this to my journal, and in this episode, I share what came through.
Power & Fear: Reclaiming What Is Ours (S16E4)
This piece of reflective writing is about recognising the fears we’ve picked up along the way, understanding that not all of them belong to us, and choosing - truly choosing - what we hold onto and what we release.
And, as if it was meant to be, I also came across a poem by Mary Oliver that speaks to this so beautifully. I share it towards the end of the episode, and I have a feeling it will resonate with you too.
I’d love to hear what this brings up for you. Has this been something you’ve noticed too - the way we can sometimes take on the fears of others without even realising it?
This is tender work and so we hold ourselves - and each other - gently. May you and all beings be happy, safe, well and live at ease.
With love
PS: I've been honoured to see some beautiful Letters of Love, shared by generous readers of this little book Letters of Love - a journaling practice of wisdom & connection. You may find it helps you connect in a compassionate way with your fears too.
