Hey lovely Reader
This week’s episode is one of those conversations that I’ll be thinking about for a long time. I’m joined by Moe Carrick - TEDx speaker, author, and workplace culture expert - and we dive into some of the deep, often hidden stories we carry about what it means to be a ‘good’ parent, partner, worker… person.
The Mothering Myth and the Courage to Be Enough – with Mo Carrick (S16E8)
Moe shares a beautiful, poignant story about a gingerbread house she made years ago - and how, when it collapsed, it became a symbol of something so many of us wrestle with: the belief that we need to be more, do more, be better.
Together we talk about the mothering myth, the weight of identity, and the often unseen complexity of navigating ambition, care and enoughness - both at work and at home. We also speak candidly about money, power, responsibility, and what it takes to build truly equitable partnerships.
It’s a tender, layered episode - covering some 'sticky', complex stuff - I hope you find something in it that meets you where you are.
May you be happy, safe and well. And may you always know you are enough (not too little and never too much).
With love

Recent reflections on the podcast
I just would like to send you a deep thank you for this episode. This is exactly what I'm going through at the moment and could not understand or name it. I felt so lost and unrecognisable to the me i usually am. This has allowed me to realise that it is ok, and that the darkness will lift and that I should stop struggling against it but lean into it so as to go back to the light and joy again. I can give myself the time to do this, and anything else is secondary in importance at this time. I will probably have to listen to it again as tears were streaming down for most of the episode. Thank you for sharing this, you have changed a life today. With love Eugenie, Belgium
