It Is as It Is: Flow, Trust & Abundance
Hey lovely Reader
It feels fitting that we’re talking about abundance at this time of year. Nature is in full generosity right now – the hedgerows heavy, the days long and lush, everything stretching into its full space. And yet, for many of us, abundance can feel like a complicated word.
Over the last few weeks, guiding Finding the More Abundant Way group work, we’ve been exploring what it really means to live with an abundant mindset – and how tender that can feel.
Because when we talk about lack and abundance, we’re not just talking about money or opportunity. We’re talking about our sense of worth. About the tight, protective ways we sometimes hold ourselves small.
One of the things we’ve been noticing together is that true abundance isn’t about magical thinking or pretending everything will be fine. It’s about trust. Not an airy, wishful kind of trust... a deeper, more grounded trust – the sort that sits in the belly, softens the chest, and lets the mind quieten enough to notice what’s already here.
For me, trust is what makes abundance possible.
When we trust ourselves – not blindly, but with that quiet, embodied knowing – we can begin to see the resources we already have: the skills we’ve gathered, the people who care for us, the small but significant choices that are open to us. We stop clutching for what’s missing and begin to work with what’s present.
Flow Journaling can be such a beautiful companion in this.
In my own journals, I often see the same themes returning again and again, each time a little softer, a little wiser. It reminds me that growth isn’t a sudden leap into a new mindset – it’s a gradual loosening. Each time we write, we offer ourselves the chance to release one more layer of tightness, to trust ourselves just a little more.
And perhaps that’s the invitation this season holds for us – to notice where we might still be shrinking ourselves, and to gently step into the space that has always been ours to take. Not forcing, not striving, simply softening enough to allow it.
If that’s something you’re curious about, you might enjoy this week’s podcast episode.
I share more about the group work we’ve been doing, read a journal entry from 2019 that feels as true today as it did then, and reflect on why trust sits at the heart of an abundant mindset.
May we all be safe, may we all be happy, may we all be well, may we all experience true abundance, may we all live with ease.
With love
