Patience is a Practice
Hey lovely Reader
I'm stepping into my fallow time; sinking in, falling back, resting for a while, which feels perfectly apt as winter approaches. So, there'll be no more new episodes of the podcast for a little while now.
Yet, I also notice that my familiar 'get things done' driver is tugging at my attention. Do you find that? When part of you calls for rest and another part calls for action? It can be a beautiful exercise in discernment, to see what is truly needed.
If that resonates, a question to ask or journal could be: How can I bring more compassion here? And see what comes.
For me, something that has been rising and falling for the past couple of years is back with a fresh energy, and this time it feels like I need to attend to it, properly.
But before I do anything with it I really want to get your thoughts... but not yet. Now feels time to be patient. To allow the energies to bubble under the surface and find their own way.
Which feeds beautifully (it's almost like I planned it) into the latest piece of writing that's found its way onto Substack. You can read it here.
I'd love to hear what you think of the piece - and if you're drawn to add a comment, follow me, or share it, that would be amazing.
I still can't fully decide if I like it on Substack - what do you think? Are you a Substacker? I love the way articles look and feel but I'm wary of how large and noisy the space can be. So I'm going sloooooowly.
Which seems to point back to patience.
I hope patience is present with you. I hope you are well and happy and safe and at ease. I hope you are able to find time to rest and breathe.
I've shared some things below, all designed to help us access our inner wisdom (which I sense is where our patience resides). Hope you like them, and I'll see you soon.
With love
